- The first two Kukeri bear old-time swords, which symbolize cutting of the evil.
- A new scene is introduction of a girl on a platform, who symbolises the Spring, and pronounces a blessing for health, fruitfulness and fertility.
- Besides the Kukeri, there is a second type of masked people called “funny masked”, who disguise with whatever they think of and find, in groups of friends or in the neighbourhoods.
- They start the feast with a parade of the masked kindergarten children on the square on Kuker Day.
- Unlike the other Kuker settlements in Karlovo region and the own Kuker tradition, in Kliment Village they celebrate the Kuker Day on Saturday before Sirnitsa (the Eastern Orthodox version of the Shrove Sunday). The aim is to enable the Kuker band to visit other feasts and host other Kuker bands on the very Kuker Day.
- The Kliment's Kukeri travel a lot for performances to other settlements, festivals and feasts.
- The leader of the Kuker band is also the village mayor, and is really respected and authoritative in both village and Karlovo region. He has managed to rally the young people around him. As he will say, “the 'Chitalishte” (Community Cultural Centre) goes together with the mayoralty”.
